just a short moments ago, i was able to make contact with her parents. her parents sent me a text message saying they want people to know the loving, caring, press good mariah home goode was all of her life. she try to make sense of the events unfolding sunday afternoon. take a look at the area on your screen. this is the 3300 block of fourth street according to the manatee county sheriff's office, around 4:30 in the afternoon, they received a call about a possible shooting in the area seen there on your screen. we're told while deputies were making their way to that location, bradenton police alerted deputies the victim, mariah goode, had already arrived at manatee memorial hospital for treatment of gunshot injuries.

the hospital for treatment and ultimately 18-year-old mariah did not survive her injuries. deputies are saying at this point that this particular case is not believed to be random. investigators do not believe this is a random shooting but they're asking anyone with any information in the case to please come forward and share the details with a manatee county sheriff's office. of course, you can also report information anonymously by reaching to it's unclear at this point what mariah's connection to that fourth street location might actually be. there's still a lot of questions out there and we will certainly work to piece this together and ask questions as we make our way into the daylight hours. >>laura: a father and two children were killed in a fiery crash after their car fell over an overpass.

injuries. crash happened early yesterday morning near state road 60. troopers say that ronald greene lost control of his car and struck a guardrail before falling onto the road below. the children were also killed. the florida highway patrol is still investigating but troopers believe that alcohol was a factor. >>russell: police investigating a murder. a man was found dead inside of one of the apartments. investigators say the shooter made it all the way to the crime. detectives have not released names but say the victim and shooter are somehow related. >>laura: it is the calm before the storm. tomorrow is election day and the polls will open in just under 25 hours. >>russell: more than 41 million americans cast their ballots and we're seeing record turnout across country. rough of half of florida's
